Summary:

This Project Manager will have the capability to manage all aspects of projects from proposal development, client relationships, performance of technical activities such as sampling, field assessment, etc. to reporting and support during corrective actions. Project managers should be able to work with a diverse client base of manufacturing, healthcare, education, municipal, military, and commercial projects.

Essential Duties: Essential job duties for this position include the following items:

  • Coordinates project activities with Clients. Prepares proposals and contract documents prior to work activities.
  • Monitors, assesses, and resolves health and safety issues in the work environment.
  • Identifies and evaluates chemical and biological dangers such as air quality, asbestos, lead paint, airborne chemicals, or dangerous sound levels.
  • Compares with applicable occupational health and safety regulations and procedures.
  • Creates and presents reports regarding the work environment.
  • Recommends precautions and corrective actions that should be taken in response to identified hazards.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, the individual in this position must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the minimum knowledge, skills and ability required.

Education/Experience:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Industrial Hygiene, or related science field is preferred, however ot required.
  • Two years of relevant job experience.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of safety and health hazards.
  • Ability to identify potential health and safety risks.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to address industrial hygiene issues with management and coworkers.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

  • Asbestos Licenses (SC or NC Preferred)
  • EPA Lead Based Paint Certification
  • HAZWOPER 40 Hour

Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

  • Must be able to work in various industrial settings.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
  • Must be able to work outdoors 50% of the time.

Work Environment: As a consultant, work environments will vary on a day to day basis.

Environmental, Health & Safety: Exposure to potentially hazardous environmental conditions may include the following: wokring in manufacturing facilities, on military bases, and in remote environmetnal locations.

We’re Hiring an Industrial Hygiene Technician

Summary: This multi-disciplinary position will work with our clients across numerous industries to conduct hazardous materials inspections, air quality assessments, environmental site assessments and industrial hygiene surveys. The successful candidate will have the ability to work both independently and within teams in a variety of commercial and industrial settings.

Essential Duties: Essential job duties for this position include the following items:

  • Conduct site visits and field data collection for environmental and industrial hygiene assessments
  • Coordinate with client and team members (scheduling, site access, coordination)
  • Perform hazardous materials (asbestos, lead-based paint, radon, etc.) and indoor air quality assessments
  • Conduct industrial hygiene sampling (noise dosimetry, sound level survey, air sampling, ventilation testing, etc.) as directed by the Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH)
  • Properly use and calibrate field equipment and in accordance with equipment specifications and standard operating procedures
  • Prepare technical reports and project correspondence. Activities include drafting text, preparing figures, and document production.
